Cockington Green Gardens is one of Canberra’s premier privately owned and operated tourist attractions. Since opening in 1979, Cockington Green Gardens has delighted visitors young and old. Venture into the fascinating display of meticulously crafted miniature buildings currently featuring 30 different countries, set within beautifully landscaped gardens.

Doors open at 9:30am

Last Entry time 4.15pm
with viewing available until 5.00pm

Minimum viewing time recommended is 1.5 hours

Closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day

The display may be closed in the event of extreme weather.

Cockington Green Gardens is located at Gold Creek Village, a convenient 10 minute drive from the Canberra City Centre.

Local bus service operates daily. Options include taking Rapid Bus No’s 2, 3 or 4 from the City to Belconnen Interchange, then bus route 24 weekdays and weekends to Federation Square.  Alternatively, take Light Rail from the City (Alinga Street Station) to Gungahlin Town Centre and the 24 bus from platform 3 to Federation Square.

  • Cockington Green is a wheelchair and walker accessible display. This access is available any time by request.  The wheelchair entrance is located beside the main ticket entrance. For assistance please phone 1800 627273 or enquire within.
  • The granite paths and walk ways through the gardens are all accommodating for a variety of equipment.
  • Cafe wheelchair access is available entering via the Rose Room.
  • Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for hire for a small fee.
  • Cockington Green Gardens has disability bathroom facilities that are located near our Garden Cafe entry.
