Lockdown temporarily closes Cockington Green Gardens

Cockington Green - August 12, 2021

ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr MLA, has announced a snap seven (7) day lockdown in the ACT effective from 5.00pm, Thursday, 12th August 2021 following the discovery of person with COVID19 believed to have been infectious in the community.

This announcement has unfortunately resulted in the forced closure of Cockington Green Gardens until at least Friday, 20th August 2021. Further information regarding reopening will be posted on the website when details are known.

This is the first closure of Cockington Green Gardens since 22nd June 2020 after shutdowns around Australia started early last year.

We regret this situation and thank our many regular visitors and loyal passholders not only for their understanding but for their best wishes as we continue to try and recover from last year’s extended shutdown and the impacts of major lockdowns around Australia throughout 2021.

Our thoughts are with everyone as we deal with this ongoing pandemic and encourage people to adhere to practices that will ensure everyone is safe so we can bring a hasty close to a very difficult period.

Stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.
